  it was on the history of the morman religion.

  one of the docs i work for is morman.

  i always try to find something to chitchat with the docs with, so i asked him about his religion.

  Hi Everyone,
  Purps took me up on my offer and called... we got to talk for over an hour... In case you don't know, She is a very charming lady with a huge heart. It's so sad what religions have done to her and her family!
  
  For those of you that pray... please pray for her.
  
  For those of you that think "happy thoughts"... please think happy thoughts for her.
  
  For those of you that do other stuff.... well..... you know.....

  i just got back from iraq..... i was a jw before i left.

  my military and jw training make for alot of sleepless nights and painful days.

  Do you still ride? We've got some open track days coming up soon. (Texas World Speedway, Motorsports Ranch, OakHill Raceway, and MSR Houston) My new bike is just about ready...I even coughed up the $$$ for Ohlins suspension on both ends. Love to have you come over and show you what it feels like to have a 40 year-old Grandpa from Texas hand you your a$$!!!!

  If it helps... I'm hurting with you.
  
  After leaving the organization, I went several years without any religious involvement...But when I fell in love with my wife, suddenly I was exposed to a person who loved God, loved Jesus, had a real grasp of the truth, lived a Christian life, and had NEVER even been in a KH.
  
  Kinda' made me think.
  
  I had never swung so far as to become athiest so when the feeling inside (that I was missing something meaningful and spiritual) surfaced, I began my quest for the real truth. The story is probably way too long to post here but if you're interested in what I discovered, it would be an honor to share it with you
  
  If you ever need someone to talk to, just PM me and I'll give you my number.

  Mom Died -- and I found out from an old friend!

  ok, i'm writing this thru tears as i just found out in the last 5 minutes.

  my dad died in august, and they had been together just 1 or 2 weeks over 70 years married!

  i didn't expect her to last without him, and visa versa.. i just tried to call my sister, and no answer there.

  A new experience

  last wednesday evening i attended a catholic mass for the first time in my life.

  being raised as one of jehovah's witnesses, i rarely ever saw the inside of another church (maybe the occasional wedding or music recital), but catholic churches were particularly off limits.

  i am now exploring my spiritual horizons.

  I think that if you've grown to the point where you can even step foot in a Catholic church, let alone actually appreciate some of the experience, You're gonna be JUST FINE!
  
  I hope you can find a spiritual home and a spiritual family... it can be so incredible!!!

  Getting my groove back

  fate (or something) has meant that my last day of work is friday and that i will be able to go home for about 3 weeks.

  home is melbourne, australia, i live in ireland at the moment.. when i left the organisation in around 1998, i pretty much disappeared, i was fortunate enough to have to travel for work and move back home (no point renting if you are never there and you are not home so much your mother annoys you), so i never got the difficult questions, hauled out the back etc, anyway in their minds i was a single girl desperate to get married they probably thought i found a boyfriend, i actually would of liked to have been a missionary) .

  after i travelled for work i resigned and did what many antipodeans do - travel and and live overseas.

  It's so encouraging to hear that there are people who have been through so much trauma at the hands of the self proclaimed "God's Chosen Ones" and yet they have still retained their faith and trust in HIM! Take hope, If you truthfully seek Jehovah, he WILL show himself to you! No Matter what!
